I moved towards making a series of images involving the idea of mundanity within an environment and how it affected my daily life. These series of images were taken in Calpe, Spain, where I focused on capturing landscape, scenery, and architecture. I think this was an important step for my work because observing different environments not only brings you fascinating, new experiences; however it brings you perspective on what you find ‘ordinary’ and ‘rare’ in life. I believe that being able to observe life in different environments plays a huge role in who we identify as, and it also shapes our personal relationships and experiences with one another.
